About Sarat Sabharwal

For more than two decades, Sarat Sabharwal, MD, has been practicing urology. The section chief of urology at the Orlando VA Medical College, he previously practiced with such entities as Midwest Urological Group, Florida Urology Associates, and Affiliated Urology Specialists. Dr. Sarat Sabharwal also serves as an assistant professor of surgery at both the University of Central Florida and the University of Illinois.

To supplement his practical medical experience, Dr. Sabharwal has completed training in a variety of specialties. He earned his doctor of medicine from the University of Iowa and subsequently completed postdoctoral training in general surgery, urology, robotic surgery, and cosmetic surgery. This unique background has sparked Dr. Sabharwal’s professional interest in such areas as urogynecology, laparoscopic surgery, and liposuction.

Beyond this training, Dr. Sabharwal has also been involved in half a dozen studies and publications. These articles have focused on such topics as prostatic stents in men with indwelling catheters and renal transplantation outcomes.

Thanks to his varied background, Dr. Sabharwal is capable of working as a proctor for Endocare and Intuitive Surgical alongside his current positions in medical practice and education. He is also capable of treating urologic conditions, cancer, and kidney stones as a physician at Health Orlando, Inc.
